The idea for Link was born in late 2013 when the City of New York issued a challenge to reinvent the City’s payphone network.

Launched in 2016, LinkNYC is now replacing thousands of payphones across New York’s five boroughs, with cutting-edge smart city technology offering free connectivity and services to New York City residents and visitors.

LinkNYC is provided by CityBridge, a group of companies comprising experts in technology, design, media, and advertising.
